A Celebration of Community Pharmacy – Welcome to the Pharmacy Business Awards

The 2013 Pharmacy Business Awards, the biggest and most glittering awards ceremony in the pharmacy calendar will be hosted on Wednesday 23rd October in Central London.

This annual event now in its 13th year brings together the ‘who’s who’ of the pharmacy profession - from community pharmacists, manufacturers and wholesalers to health officials, pharmacy politicians and key buyers from across the retail and wholesale spectrum.

The Pharmacy Business Awards recognises and encourages excellence within this important sector - the event has become the must-attend evening within the industry.

Last year the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Quality at the Department of Health, Lord Howe, joined over 900 guests to celebrate and applaud Britain’s best independent community pharmacists.

Independent pharmacists play a vital part in the provision of healthcare in Britain and their role has become even more crucial in the new NHS. Community pharmacists provide a critical service to communities throughout Britain and many go beyond the call of duty in ensuring patients receive the best healthcare.
