New Rosemont product reference guide

Rosemont Pharmaceuticals, the liquid medicine specialists, have introduced the definitive reference guide to the extensive Rosemont product range.

SICK opto-sensor technology

SICK (UK) has increased the intensity, brightness and accuracy of opto-sensor technology with the new Pin-Point LED, enabling faster and more accurate quality control for the pharmaceutical industry.

The Pin-Point, which delivers performance comparable to a short-range laser scanner, will significantly broaden the range and performance of SICK’s LED-based photoelectric switches and photoelectric proximity switches

A new design of LED, the Pin-Point vastly increases light spot intensity and concentrates the energy on a much smaller area. Pin-Point boasts greater functional reserves, improved detection reliability and the capacity to detect longer ranges.

Using the Pin-Point, SICK photoelectric switches can detect much smaller objects, down to 1mm, and distances up to 500mm, providing an innovative alternative to laser diode photoelectric switches.

Dollar Rae “Spot On” with Herbert & Shrive Pharmacy refit

The refit of the Herbert & Shrive community pharmacy near Teddington, Middlesex, posed an enormous challenge to Dollar Rae. The project was different to the previous two refits that the specialists in pharmacy design and development had handled for Yogesh Patel at each of his two other pharmacies.

This time round, Yogesh had tasked Dollar Rae not only with the redesign and upgrading of the pharmacy on Kingston Road , but also with maximising the fairly small and narrow footprint of the premises for the purpose of: expanding the dispensary workspace, installing a private consultation room, creating a larger medical counter, improving merchandise displays, introducing an exclusive perfumery and beauty care section and improving visibility and accessibility. Panadol Advance

GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare is continuing its in-store focus on the pain category with an innovative new point-of-sale (POS) campaign to encourage shoppers to buy Panadol Advance – with its Optizorb disintegration system - rather than a standard paracetamol product.

A big part of the campaign is an interactive counter display unit which uses electroluminescent technology to bring the core claim to life. Shoppers press a button on the unit, which also holds stock, lighting up two panels that show the speed at which Panadol Advance disperses in the stomach vs. standard paracetamol.

The CDU’s, along with more traditional standees, window clings, wobblers and shelf strips, feature the compelling brand messages ‘There’s ordinary paracetamol and there’s Panadol Advance’ and ‘Disperses (breaks up in the stomach) up to five times faster than ordinary paracetamol’. Novartis launches Onbrez Breezhaler

Novartis has launched Onbrez Breezhaler (indacaterol), a dry-powder inhaler containing a novel long-acting beta agonist for COPD.
