Dryeyesmedical.com - resource for dry eyes
Experts in the field of dry eye syndrome have re-launched the website www.dryeyesmedical.com - the site now describes some of the most up-to-date diagnostic tests and treatments for the condition.
Designed to act as a definitive resource for anyone involved in the diagnosis and treatment of the condition, dryeyesmedical.com is sponsored by Moorfields Eye Hospital.
Content is peer reviewed by ophthalmologists and optometrists from Moorfields and other eye centres around the UK.  As well as a comprehensive analysis of the causes and severity of evaporative and aqueous-deficient dry eyes, there are new online diagnostic tools, such as the DEQ5 which has become widely accepted in recent months.
The site also links to recognised resources such as the DEWS (Dry Eyes Workshop) report 2007. "The site www.dryeyesmedical.com is a comprehensive resource for training as well as for anyone who wants to keep abreast of best practice," said Valerie Saw.
HCPs with an interest in submitting content or participating in the expert panel are invited to contact: Dan Alalouff at Dan.Alalouff@moorfields.nhs.uk
