GSK’S Pharmassist website is re-launched

GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare has re-launched its online pharmacy community website -  www.MyPharmAssist.co.uk- to refresh the overall look and feel of the site and enhance the experience for users.

Acting on feedback from pharmacy, GSK has created a more user-friendly site, which is quick and easy to navigate. Benefits include a simplified registration process, faster log-in and quicker access to all areas including training, which continues to be the main focus of the site.

Pharmacist (CPD) and other pharmacy staff training is available on a number of categories and in a variety of formats – including e-zines, interactive e-learning modules, podcasts and knowledge assessments. Users are able to manage their own training requirements including reviewing modules and downloading personalised certificates.

Whilst some training modules are being reviewed and updated, training currently available includes weight management, pain and sleep. General skills training, covering subjects such as selling skills, is also available to assist in the day-to-day running of the pharmacy.

Users will find it easier to keep track of their training with an improved records system and easier access to training history. Pharmacists will also be able to record their CPD via a quick and easy link to uptodate.org.uk

Additional features on the site include free display material, which can be ordered using state-of-the-art software that includes one-click ordering, high-res viewing of material, and fast delivery service. Also new on the site is a live feed of the latest GSK and industry news.
Jane Francis, commercial education manager for GSK, said: “We took on board feedback we received from pharmacy and I’m confident we’ve launched a site that offers a ‘one-stop-shop’ for news, training and display material. I’d encourage anyone involved in community, high-street and grocery pharmacy to visit the site and experience for themselves the benefits it offers."

The site is available to all pharmacy staff at
www.MyPharmAssist.co.uk following a simple registration process and thereafter via the quick log-in button. For more information call GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare on 0845 762 6637.
