Numark has set up free training workshops for its members designed to educate them on changes to the community pharmacy contractual framework which is due to be implemented from October 1.
Five day-long events, sponsored by Teva, Pfizer and Actavis and running across September, will cover the new medicines service, targeted MURs and clinical governanceand an update on EPS release 2.
The venues include Nottingham (September 5), Manchester (September 7), Exeter (September 19), Norwich (September 21) and Wembley (September 28).
“The new medicines service and targeted MURs give pharmacists a fantastic opportunity to professionally enhance their role and work as part of the wider NHS team locally to provide services efficiently and cost effectively for the benefit of patients.,” said Mimi Lau, Numark’s director of pharmacy services.
“But there’s a lot to get to grips with and in a very short time-line, so we have launched the training to encapsulate all the current changes. By attending the workshop, pharmacists will be fully informed of the changes and have a personalised action plan on how they will deliver them confidently and professionally.” Numark members who want to book a place can log on to www.numarknet.com
