Numark has opened up its members-only Intranet site to non-members for the first time. The site – NumarkNet – is currently used by over 90% of Numark members to access news, events and information about the full range of Numark services.
A redesign and restructure now enables the whole pharmacy sector to engage with Numark. All sensitive information on the site - such as member details and deals - will be restricted, as will downloads that come as a benefit of Numark membership, such as SOPs, planograms and service toolkits. Approximately 92% of members log in to NumarkNet with 1400 pharmacies currently logging in at least twice a week.
“Following feedback, we've made the site easier to access for members, making changes to navigation and the search function,” said Brian Chetwynd, Numark’s web manager. “Whilst making the changes, there was an opportunity for a more radical change... we know that our members’ teams find the site useful, but it can be awkward with limited terminals available in the pharmacy to log in and out to safeguard restricted information that only the member should see.
“By opening up a large proportion of the content we have helped our members save time without having to remember yet another user name and password. It allows the whole of the pharmacy team to engage with us, from dispensary technicians to counter assistants and from delivery drivers to pre-reg students.
“The opening up of NumarkNet also allows us to share information with stakeholders and make all independents aware that Numark isn’t a buying group any more. It is an organisation that supports and works with its members to develop profitable independent pharmacies that deliver exceptional standards care to local communities.” The relaunched NumarkNet can be accessed at www.numarknet.com
