Teva introduce new generics buying scheme

Teva UK has thrown its support behind independent pharmacy and dispensing doctor customers by launching a new generics buying scheme. Under the plans introduced by the company, the first generics manufacturer to introduce a generics buying scheme in 2003, customers have a simple choice: TevaOne or TevaTwo. Their choice depends on whether they prefer base monthly rebates combined with a bonus quarterly rebate (TevaOne), or whether they can commit to a minimum spend of £2,500 per month to earn Nett Price and incremental levels of rebates (TevaTwo). The initiative is the result of an extensive consultation run by Teva with its customers to find out what they want from a generics scheme. “We’ve taken a long, hard look at our customer buying schemes. We asked our customers what they wanted, what they valued most from their generic medicines provider, and we listened,” said Kim Innes, Teva’s commercial director. “We’ve used their feedback to form the backbone of the change in our generic buying schemes – keeping them simple, reliable, and competitively priced.” TevaOne and TevaTwo will launch on May 1 2011, replacing the current offerings.
