Alliance Healthcare will hold a series of roadshows alongside its charity partners aimed at increasing awareness of all areas of the business.
The roadshows will tale place between now and the end of March and will give employees the chance to meet with Alliance Healthcare’s chosen charity partners – Leonard Cheshire Disability Prostate Cancer and Clic Sargent – “to build an understanding of what each charity does and also build connections between individuals and the three causes.”
The opening roadshow was held at the wholesaler’s service centre in South Normanton and Alliance reported that feedback from employees was excellent.
Simon Hulme HR director at Alliance Healthcare said: “The event was really appreciated by all the team who found it to be both informative and fun to meet and engage with charity partners who have been personally chosen by Alliance Healthcare team members.
“Everyone was very grateful to our charities for taking the time to say thank you for the work they had done in the past and explain more about the causes they represent. We’re looking forward to replicating the success of this event throughout our business.”
Susy Gould corporate partnerships manager at Leonard Cheshire Disability said: “Alliance Healthcare employees have been extremely loyal to Leonard Cheshire Disability over the years. We are very grateful for their continuing support enabling disabled people to live independently. Chatting to the staff at South Normanton was enormously beneficial to us; it was great to hear about how they like to fundraise and how we can support them along the way. We are looking forward to working together in the future!”
Sukhi Dale corporate partnerships manager at The Prostate Cancer Charity added: “We had such a warm welcome from the team at South Normanton. Despite being very busy they all made time to come over for a chat and pick up some information and goodies! It was wonderful to meet everyone and thank them personally for all their fantastic fundraising efforts – from painful waxing to magnificent moustaches!
“Nothing beats being on the shop floor talking to the people who make it happen and we hope this is just the start of many more visits throughout our partnership with Alliance Healthcare – thank you for helping us in our fight against prostate cancer.”
Ceris Bradley community fundraising manager at London & Hertfordshire Clic Sargent said: “It was great to visit the South Normanton centre and to meet the staff. It is lovely to meet the people who put so much effort into raising money for Alliance Healthcare’s chosen charities and for the opportunity to tell them face to face how much the money raised means to us. Everyone was interested in finding out more about what the charities do and seemed motivated to want to take part in some fundraising which is great!”
