Former Pharmacy Minister Steve Brine was re-elected from Winchester parliamentary constituency as a Conservative Party candidate.
He won by a slender margin, edging past his nearest Liberal Democrat rival Paula Ferguson by just 985 votes.
Brine, who had a majority of 9,999 from the 2017 general election, polled 28,430 votes, while Ferguson received 27,445.
Appointed pharmacy minister in June 2017 by Theresa May, he resigned in March 2019 to vote against the then Prime Minister’s EU withdrawal deal strategy.
Brine thanked his constituents via Facebook.
