Celesio have appointed one-time Boots digital maestro Matt Poole as their new digital director.
Poole (pictured) will oversee Celesio’s UK digital and e-commerce activities and attempt to grow the online offerings of Lloydspharmacy and its other brands.
“There is a fantastic opportunity at Celesio UK to create a compelling, innovative digital strategy that will enable us to deliver seamless, accessible care,” he said.
“My priority is to make this easier for our customers by offering tools that work for them. I’m looking forward to feeding off the passion and enthusiasm around the business for putting the customer first.”
Poole spent three years at Boots where he led their digital development, improving the company’s omni-channel customer experience.
“I’m really excited that Matt is bringing his wealth of experience and unique thinking to our team. His expertise and vision will be a vital asset for our business as we face into the considerable challenges impacting the sector,” said Celesio UK managing director Cormac Tobin.
