Central Homecare, the healthcare company providing services to patients in their own homes across the UK, has been re-branded to Alcura.

Describing the rebranding as “an exciting step for the home healthcare market in the UK,” Mark Stephenson, managing director of Alcura, said the move would provide the company with “new opportunities” to increase its specialised and home healthcare services in the UK.

As a member of leading international, pharmacy-led health and beauty group Alliance Boots, Alcura leverages support from its network to offer integrated healthcare services.

“Alcura has become a trusted partner to NHS teams, the pharmaceutical industry and logistics companies, delivering and supporting clinical patient care that achieves optimal heath outcomes in a wide spectrum of health conditions,” Stephenson said.

“The re-branding to Alcura marks an exciting step for the home healthcare market in the UK. Being part of the shared brand will offer us new opportunities to expand our specialised and home healthcare services in the UK, while increasing our brand recognition across Europe.”

Alcura services include clinical homecare, medicine support, dispensing services, medicine preparation and clinical trial support. The company, founded in 2008, serves 21,000 patients.
