Two pharmacists have completed a deal to buy their first pharmacy, a business in a picturesque village in Somerset, after securing funding through a finance broker.

Husband and wife Olawale and Oluwatoyin Lawal, described by Gary Boyce, director at Christie Finance who advised and brokered the funding, as “energetic and capable pharmacists,” became the new owners of Milborne Port Pharmacy in south Somerset after the previous owner decided to retire.

Jonathan Board, a director at Christie & Co, said: “Milborne Port Pharmacy has an excellent local reputation built by (the previous owner’s) many years of service to the local community and I knew that independent contractors would see this as an excellent opportunity to take this business on.

“New owners, Mr Olawale and Mrs Oluwatoyin Lawal are a husband and wife team who I am sure will do well with this new business venture.”
