A handbag and car keys to a Vauxhall Corsa were stolen from the Goldchem pharmacy’s staff area on the New Year day

Hampshire police on Tuesday arrested a 30-year-old man from Fareham in connection with a burglary at Goldchem Pharmacy in Albert Road, Southsea.

A handbag and car keys to a Vauxhall Corsa were stolen from the pharmacy’s staff area on the New Year day. The stolen Vauxhall Corsa was stolen but later recovered.

The man has been released from custody but remains under investigation as the enquires continue.

“Tackling the issue of commercial burglaries is a priority for the team in Southsea at the moment. Operation Monster is our dedicated response, working with local businesses and targeting our patrols to prevent break-ins and thefts,” Hampshire Constabulary said in a statement.
