Warwickshire-based online pharmacy group ‘Pharmacy To My Door’ has secured £240,000 from Lloyd Bank as a support to the company’s next stage of development.

The group, which started in 2006 and relocated to a more convenient location in 2017, delivers prescriptions free of charge to more than 8,600 patients across the UK.

The funding package will support the next stage of the company’s development including a £120,000 asset finance facility to invest in the automation of the business’ system. It will boost the efficiency of its operations and help staff to focus on customer service, The Business Desk reports.

“We’ve seen unprecedented growth in the past couple of years, driven by huge demand from patients looking to get their prescriptions quickly and efficiently,” the report quoted Amit Patel, Managing director.

“The automation of our systems will enable us to provide an even better service for our customers and continue to expand our business,” he said.

“Pharmacy delivery services continue to be in high demand in the UK, as shown by the growth of ‘Pharmacy To My Door’ over the past few years,” Keith Breavington, associate director at Lloyds Bank commercial Banking said.

The business is expected to double its £1.5m annual turnover in the next three years and also expected to grow the number of patients it serves.
