Kate will lead the PDA’s strategy on professional development for members and the education programmes for student, pre-reg and newly qualified members, the pharmacy body has said.

The Pharmacists’ Defence Association (PDA) has launched an education hub to offer professional development courses and resources to help provisionally registered pharmacists.

It has developed an eight-week online course – Support Programme for Provisionally Registered Pharmacists – to help ‘prov regs’ prepare for their upcoming assessment.

“This year, with the unexpected impact of Covid-19 creating the ‘provisional registration’ programme, we are delighted to announce a fully interactive, virtual PDA ‘prov reg’ support initiative which has been designed to support all those new pharmacists who are preparing for their pre-reg exam in early 2021, said PDA chairman Mark Koziol.

The organisation said its free resources would be exclusively available to members to help them at all stages of their career – whether preparing for the pre-reg assessment, updating clinical knowledge or used as refresher training.
