The Pharmacists Defence Association (PDA) on Sunday presented a total of £24,896.68 to Pharmacist Support at the 2019 Pharmacy Show.

The donations include around £3,500 PDA raised over the last nine months and the association’s donation of £1 for every member.

“Thank you so much to the PDA and all its members for your continued support. This will really make a difference to the charity and the people we help every day,” said Pharmacist Support Chief Executive Danielle Hunt.

PDA is donating £1 for each member to Pharmacist Support, each year since 2017. Pharmacists also have the option to give an extra amount for the charity when joining the PDA or renewing the annual membership.

PDA director Paul Day has called Pharmacist Support a natural partner.

“PDA help our members with many issues, but there are some aspects of support and some occasions where the services of Pharmacist Support are desperately needed by individuals too,” he said.
