Walgreens Boots Alliance, the parent company of Boots UK, has announced a number of key leadership appointments.
Gunjan Bhow will soon join the company in the newly created global chief digital officer role. He will lead WBA’s global efforts to identify customer needs and to develop innovative solutions.
Bhow has more than 25 years of experience in “leading customer-centric digital transformation and developing category-defining products that have been adopted by over a hundred million consumers worldwide and generated billions of dollars in revenue”, Walgreens Boots Alliance said.
In his most recent role, Bhow was the senior vice president and general manager at Walt Disney Company.
He also led digital businesses at Amazon, Microsoft and Plantronics.
Heather Dixson, who earlier served as the vice president and assistant controller of PepsiCo, is appointed as the new Global Controller and Chief Accounting Officer. She will oversee WBA’s global controllership organisation.
Vineet Mehra will lead and direct all marketing activities as the company’s Global Chief Marketing Officer, and Annie Murphy will oversee the Global Brands portfolio as Global Chief Commercial Officer. Colin Nelson will be the Chief Global Supply Chain Officer.
