The independent pharmacy chain Well has appointed Chris Ellett as its new transformation director.
Ellett (pictured), who joins the company this month, has 13 years’ experience in business transformation and excellence and boasts over a decade in senior leadership roles.
His CV includes time spent as group head of transformation at Co-op and engagement director for Boxwood where he designed and implemented transformation programmes.
Ellett will be responsible for leading Well’s IT programme, management office and innovation functions. He will report to Well CEO John Nuttall.
“I’m excited to be joining Well at such an important time. As consumer behaviours, expectations and needs change, and the market landscape continues to evolve, we have a unique opportunity to deliver true convenience, clinical effectiveness, and make a real difference to the health and wellbeing of our customers,” Ellett said.
“With 780 stores nationwide, we know we can play an even greater role in alleviating the current pressures on the NHS and harness technology-led solutions to make community pharmacy truly valuable, while delivering the outstanding customer-care people have come to expect from their local Well pharmacy.”
Nuttall said: “We are delighted to have someone of Chris’ calibre on-board for what will be a pivotal role within our organisation. It is the right time to introduce this function into the Well Executive Team, as we shape and define the long-term future of the Well Group of businesses.”
