Nigel Swift joins Well as Operations Director

Nigel Swift has joined Well Pharmacy as its Operations Director. He will lead the operational teams that support the chain’s 760 pharmacies to ensure that patients continue to receive their vital medication in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic and beyond.

Nigel brings with him 20 years of experience across the pharmacy sector. He has worked in a variety of roles across operations, sales, marketing and digital category management in seven countries. His most recent role was as Sales and Marketing Director at Lloyds Pharmacy where he spent five years being responsible for the day-to-day operation of all pharmacies.

“I’m excited to join Well,” said Nigel, adding: “The role of community pharmacy is to support people with their health and wellbeing – and this is exactly what Well’s patient-centric strategy is based around.

“It’s an exciting time to join, as Well is looking to expand into more services and make more use of technology for patients. And with colleagues who are clearly dedicated to supporting their patients and local communities, I’m looking forward to what the future will bring.”

Commenting on Nigel’s appointment, Seb Hobbs, CEO, said: “Nigel’s leadership and experience will support with the immediate challenges of COVID-19, and help shape the future for Well as we deliver on our vision to provide the best community pharmacy experience.”
