The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) has shared Covid-19 webinar resources with members of the Commonwealth Pharmacists Association (CPA).

The webinars are made available on Wednesday (July 1) as a CPD package to all CPA members across the globe, the pharmacy body has said in a press release.

“Upon successful completion of related CPD quiz, CPA members will also receive certificate for their records,” RPS added.

All webinars follow a Q&A format focusing on practical tips and sharing good practice.

RPS CEO Paul Bennett said: “I am delighted that RPS and CPA have collaborated to bring this valuable resource to members of the CPA, many of whom already enjoy access to our high-quality professional development materials and networks.

“The RPS mission is to put pharmacy at the forefront of healthcare and by working with CPA in this way we believe we are taking another step forward in achieving this. I would encourage you to access these resources so that you can join us and the CPA in the fight against Covid-19”.

CPA, Executive Director Victoria Rutter, said: “This is an exciting and welcome development that reflects the ongoing and growing partnership between the CPA and the RPS.

“We thank the RPS, as one of our own member organisations, for their ongoing support and hope that the webinars prove a valuable resource for pharmacists around the Commonwealth and beyond, supporting them to upskill and enhance their own practice for the benefit of patients as they continue their essential work as key workers on the front line tackling Covid-19.”

CPA Trustee and RPS English Pharmacy Board Chair, Claire Anderson, said: “As a Trustee of the CPA and Chair of the RPS English Pharmacy Board, I am delighted that RPS and CPA are collaborating on sharing Covid-19 resources.

“Traffic to the RPS Covid-19 hub has doubled during the pandemic and the resources including the regular clinical webinars have been invaluable to many people. I now hope many more colleagues around the globe will be able to benefit too.”
