A.Vogel Dormeasan Sleep Valerian-Hops oral drops is a traditional herbal remedy made from fresh extracts of Valerian and Hops, used for the relief of sleep disturbances.

Valerian and hops are both thought to work via GABA receptors which help to promote calm in the body. The effect of Valerian root on glutamate levels adds to its calming effect.

Glutamate is an excitatory neurotransmitter, meaning that it causes nervous agitation and encourages the brain to race. It is the volatile oils found in fresh extracts of Valerian root that have the desired effects and it is also these oils that give Dormeasan it’s strong taste, so it if often recommended to be taken with fruit juice.

Unlike some sleep medication, Dormeasan won’t cause a feeling of grogginess the morning after and it is not known to be habit forming. It can be taken just 30 minutes before bed time. Always read the leaflet.

RRP £10.50 for 50ml. For enquiries please contact A.Vogel on 0800 085 0820.
