To engage the public and members with Scottish pharmacy heritage, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) is planning a new museum display at its offices in Edinburgh when Covid restrictions allow.
The display will not only showcase the rich collection but also act as a celebration of the rich history of pharmacy in Scotland. The RPS Scotland team is understandably very keen for its members to be involved in guiding the creation of the display including identification of items and deciding which key developments in pharmacy in Scotland to include.
Catherine Walker, RPS museum officer, said: “This will help us work collaboratively with members and will enable us to really showcase our rich collection and engage the public and members with Scottish pharmacy heritage.“
Clare Morrison, RPS director for Scotland, said: “We are really looking forward to re-opening our Edinburgh office. We hope that by involving RPS members in creating our new museum display, it will capture what pharmacists want to see and will encourage more members to visit our building in future.”
