Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education has launched a new vaccination e-learning to support pharmacy teams to deliver high-quality services.
The e-learning module aims to help the candidates navigate the guidance, understand legal considerations, and deliver a service that is safe, effective and person-centred.
The programme offers to help pharmacists refresh their knowledge, assess their competence and enhance their consultations.
It is designed to support pharmacy teams to step up to the growing role of pharmacy in vaccination delivery, especially during the flu season.
The programme would explain the role of vaccination in the public health agenda, describe the legal aspects of vaccination, list guidance and resources on vaccination and identify the minimum training requirements to become a competent vaccinator and assess competence.
The programme will assess the candidate's strengths and areas for improvement, create an action plan to enhance their knowledge and skills.
