The Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE) is offering an online course on structured medication review (SMR).
It is a self-directed learning experience to help learners build the foundation for this vital area of pharmacy practice.
The course was previously tutor-led, and CPPE has redesigned the programme into an interactive, flexible e-course.
It supports pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and trainee pharmacists to develop the right knowledge, skills and behaviours to undertake person-centered SMRs, or contribute to related activities within their organisations.
The course includes interactive patient case studies, structured templates and patient perspective videos, offering insight into how it feels to live with long-term conditions and how shared decision-making can enhance care.
Pharmacists completing the linked assessment can evidence their learning through multiple-choice questions and by applying their knowledge in practice: observing an SMR, being observed undertaking one, and using feedback to identify development needs.
The course will be useful to those who are new to SMRs or looking to refresh their knowledge, the course offers the grounding you need to deliver safe, effective, and person-centered reviews.
