Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee (PSNC) notifies pharmacy contractors that the FP34C submission deadline has been extended to end of May 6.
This month the contractors get an extra day, because of a bank holiday on May 2, to submit their FP34C declaration through Manage Your Service (MYS) Portal for NHS pharmaceutical services delivered in April 2022.
PSNC added: “Contractors must also dispatch their prescription bundle to the relevant pricing division at the NHSBSA by May 6. This extended submission deadline applies to any month where one or more bank holiday occurs during the first five days of the month.”
“Please note the requirement to submit electronic Claim Notification (CN) messages or Electronic Reimbursement Endorsement Messages (EREMs) within the first five days remains unchanged. CN messages and EREMs for prescriptions dispensed in April 2022 must continue to be submitted by May 5, 2022.”
The earlier advance payment date will remain as four working days from the extended submission deadline of the sixth day of the month. Therefore, to secure access to earlier advance payments on May 12, 2022, contractors must submit their April 2022 FP34Cs through the MYS no later than May 6, 2022.
Contractors who submit their April FP34C figures late through MYS (after 6 May) will NOT receive any earlier advance payments and instead, receive their advance payments in accordance with the normal payment timetable i.e. on June 1, 2022.
Last month, over 10,700 pharmacy contractors who declared their March 2022 FP34C submission figures through the MYS by April 5 2022 received their earlier advance payments on Monday April 11 2022 (circa 20 days earlier than the normal advance payment timetable).
However, around 350 contractors submitted their FP34C figures late (after April 5). These contractors will receive their advance payments in accordance with the normal payment timetable i.e. on May 1 2022.
