IPP week to be held from 24-27 November

This is a new joint initiative involving 16 national pharmacy partners, including the National Pharmacy Association (NPA), Community Pharmacy England, and Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS).

The Inclusive Pharmacy Practice Week, hosted by the NHS and Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE), will be held from 24-27 November.

This is a new joint initiative involving 16 national pharmacy partners, including the National Pharmacy Association (NPA), Community Pharmacy England, and Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS).


It is about creating inclusive workplaces and leadership that reflects diverse communities, supporting efforts to reduce health inequalities.

IPP week will organise eight virtual interactive workshops grouped under three themes: Leadership and representation, healthcare service delivery, and education and training.

Each workshop is hosted by two IPP partner organisations and features senior leaders from within these organisations, alongside invited speakers delivering practical workshops and learning opportunities.

The event will kick off with a discussion on 'Increasing diversity and representation' on November 24. The participants include Mahendra Patel, David Webb, and Liz Fidler.

The other workshops include, "Championing national and local policies and initiatives to address health inequalities through prevention of ill-health" (25 November), "Closing the gaps in differential attainment and awarding" (26 November), "Dismantling racism, harassment, bullying and discrimination in the workplace", and "Championing national and local policies and initiatives to address health inequalities through prevention of ill-health" (both on 27 November).

Pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and wider pharmacy team members, across all career stages and sectors of practice can attend.
