Lancashire-based herbal products company, Natures Aid, is set to bring products that have proved successful in the global pharmacy market to the UK.
The business is seeking to ramp up its UK pharmacy footprint by applying its international expertise to the UK pharmacies.
The company’s new product development has focused on meeting demand for natural health products in international pharmacies, and the business is experiencing growing appetite in its UK pharmacy business too, the company said in a statement.
Chris Morrey, managing director of Natures Aid, said: “In just ten years, we have built a distribution network of more than 50 countries and it’s fantastic that this achievement has been recognised with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise. We have a growing appetite here in the UK too and it’s fantastic to be able to produce and supply new British-quality products both nationally and internationally.”
With approximately 75 new products launched over the past three years, Natures Aid has grown to offer a comprehensive portfolio of more than 200 natural health supplements. Just last year, the business launched Wild Earth, the first completely vegan & planet friendly range of vitamin and supplements.
From 2011 onwards, due to an increase in demand from overseas customers for quality British-made supplements, the business started to distribute the Natures Aid brand to pharmacy and retail partners around the world.
The business now has a distribution network in more than 50 countries, mainly throughout Europe, Asia and Middle East countries to the pharmaceutical market, alongside independent retailers.
In addition, the company’s product portfolio consists of seven main specialist health categories: children’s health, probiotics, omegas, glucosamine, multi-vitamins, organics, and licensed traditional herbal remedies (THRs).
