CPE invites North East pharmacy owners to join its roadshow on 3 July

Pharmacy owners and LPCs are encouraged to share their views and pose questions to the CPE team

Community Pharmacy England (CPE) is holding a roadshow in North East on 3 July (Wednesday) as part of its commitment to engage with pharmacy owners and Local Pharmaceutical Committees (LPCs).

Pharmacy owners across the North East are invited to meet the CPE team, including Chief Executive Janet Morrison, to discuss the issues that matter to them.

Earlier in the day, Janet and the team will meet with Chairs and Chief Officers from all five Local Pharmaceutical Committees (LPCs) in the North East to understand the local context of national issues and hear their specific concerns.

In the evening, the CPE team will engage directly with local pharmacy owners, who can share their views and ask questions.

During its regional roadshow, the CPE will outline all of the work they are doing to ease pharmacy pressures and build a better future for the sector.

Sami Hanna, local independent pharmacy owner and CPE Regional Representative for the North East, will also speak about his own experiences and hopes for community pharmacy.

The event aims to cover ongoing critical pressures in community pharmacy and the organisation's ongoing work to address these challenges.

Additionally, the CPE will provide updates on the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework for 2024/25, and share its vision and strategy for the future of the sector.

The event will also provide opportunities for local pharmacy owners to provide input and support the work of Community Pharmacy England.

The roadshow, which is part of a series of regional roadshow events across the country, will be held from 7.30pm to 9pm at the Vermont Hotel, Newcastle.

Pharmacy owners can book their place for the regional roadshow bookings on the CPE website. Bookings will close on 26 June or earlier if capacity is reached, it said.
