Leading pharmacist Ade Williams has been appointed non-executive director at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust.

Williams is an associate non-executive director at the North Bristol NHS Trust and is the lead prescribing pharmacist at the multi-award winning Bedminster Pharmacy, an independent Healthy Living Pharmacy in South Bristol.

He is widely recognised for his work through national awards including the 2019 NHS Parliamentary Award for Excellence in Primary Care and the Pharmacy Business Innovation Award 2017.

The Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust provides community health, mental health and learning disability services across Hampshire and is one of the largest providers of such services in England.

Williams commented: “During my pharmacy studies, I worked for the forerunner organisation of the Trust as part of a mental health team. Those experiences helped define and shape my pharmacy career.

“I am excited to join colleagues to help make this an organisation that excels as a bastion of equity, dignity and excellent care in all we do for patients and colleagues.”
