NHS England launches 'Help US Help You' Pharmacy Advice Campaign

NHS England and NHS Improvement on Monday re-launched the pharmacy advice phase of ‘Help Us, Help You’ campaign, urging the public to ‘take the drama out of minor illnesses’.

The nine-week 'Get It Seen To' campaign encourages the public to use their local pharmacy as the first place to go for clinical advice on minor health concerns such as coughs, colds and aches.

Dr Bruce Warner, Deputy Chief Pharmaceutical Officer, said: “Pharmacy has an increasingly important role to play in keeping people well and is establishing itself as the ‘go-to first’ place for patients with minor illnesses. The message from this advertising campaign is clear: patients can get expert and swift clinical advice from their local pharmacist and get their minor illness seen to straight away, helping alleviate pressure on busy GPs and A&Es this winter.”

Resources for the campaign are already been sent to pharmacies across England while other downloadable materials are available on the Public Health England’s Campaign Resource Centre.

The campaign has also been updated with an eye-catching TV advert along with social media and out-of-home bus shelter advertising.
