Following some manufacturing challenges, Phoenix Labs has changed the packaging of Prednisolone 1mg Gastro-Resistant tablets to a pot of 100 tablets from a blister pack of 30 tablets earlier.

The old blister packs of 30 tablet having an expiry date of April 2022 will be discontinued once the existing stock is sold out, a spokesperson from the company said on Wednesday (February 17).

The medication in new packs will be available from AAH, Alliance Healthcare and Phoenix Medical.

Prednisolone is used for a wide variety of diseases. Some of the principal indications include respiratory disorder, severe hypersensitivity reactions, anaphylaxis and severe skin conditions.

Phoenix Labs, which holds marketing authorisation for Prednisolone 1mg Gastro-Resistant tablets, is an integrated healthcare company operating in the prescription and OTC market segments.
