The app is a supportive tool that tracks people’s progress, sees how much they save, provides daily support as well as helps get inspired by others.
The NHS ensures support for smokers through all the phases, including the times when they wish to quit, when they are ready to quit, and even helps them remain smoke-free after quitting.
The app also supports people with lessons to handle cravings, withdrawal symptoms, etc.
It provides an exclusive service to the users by developing a free 8-step personalised quit plan.
Smoking is a habit that can damage an individual’s physical as well as mental health simultaneously.
As per the experts, quitting smoking changes one’s life for good.
Just 20 minutes post quitting, a smoker’s pulse rate returns to normal, and after 8 hours, the deadly carbon monoxide levels in their blood reduces, recovering oxygen levels.
Two days after quitting, the smokers’ lungs clear out the mucus while their sense of smell and taste also improves.
They can reduce the risk of dying from lung cancer by half in ten years.
The NHS wants the public to join the app and start their life afresh and healthier this new year.
