Numark has announced its technological partnership with Cegedim Rx for improved dispensing, which is expected to benefit its 6,000 members.
Through this partnership, Numark’s exclusive semi-automated dispensing system, Golden Tote and Cegedim Rx’s patient medication record (PMR), Pharmacy Manager, will be integrated.
While Golden Tote has the potential to lower stock holding up to 45 per cent, the integration with Pharmacy Manager could avoid errors and guarantee smooth dispensing.
It will help its member pharmacies to streamline processes, reduce stock holding and avoid manual checking and sorting from pharmacy teams’ work.
Cegedim Rx managing director Tracy Robertson said the partnership will improve dispensing efficiency and patient safety in pharmacies and free pharmacists to focus on patient care.
“Community pharmacy needs solutions that work with the grain of everyday practice. This integration gives our members a practical route to safer, smarter and more efficient dispensing,” added Harry McQuillan, chairman of Numark.
