Community pharmacy owners’ views sought ahead of contract negotiations

Community Pharmacy England has sought the opinions of community pharmacy owners regarding the future direction of the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework.

Community Pharmacy England (CPE) has sought the opinions of community pharmacy owners regarding the future direction of the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF).

The CPE has launched its summer survey to gather views on potential funding allocations, service priorities and regulatory asks to help shape its negotiating priorities for 2026/27.

Contractors have been asked to spell out the areas they want the government to invest in.

Questions also cover the medicines margin, future pharmacy services and the government’s recently launched 10-year plan for the health service.

The survey will close at 11.59 pm on September 8, to allow time for the Committee to review responses before its meeting.

The opinion poll findings will be discussed at the next Community Pharmacy England Committee meeting in September.

The community pharmacy owners' feedback will also help the Committee as it sets negotiating priorities, including key asks and red lines, before further negotiations commence.

The CPE has urged the pharmacy owners to participate in the survey in large numbers.
