The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) has published the updated edition of Medicines, Ethics and Practice (MEP) with additions that will help the readers adapt to the rapidly growing and complex field of pharmacy.
The 48th edition of MEP has fresh topics such as remote prescribing, pharmacy services at a distance and safe supply of medicines in specialised and evolving areas of care.
Pregnancy Prevention Programme (PPP) updates, gender incongruence and dysphoria are some other new content in it.
The digital version of the handbook is frequently updated, acting as the primary and most reliant source of guidance for pharmacy professionals.
Physical copies will only be made available as per demand.
“This edition reflects the continuing evolution of pharmacy practice. We’ve worked closely with colleagues and expert contributors to ensure that the MEP remains a valuable, relevant and trusted resource,” said Rakhee Amin, MEP editor at RPS.
“We encourage all members to explore the easy-to-use digital MEP for up-to-date information wherever you practise.”
“All Foundation Trainee members of the RPS will receive a free print copy of MEP48 as part of their membership,” she added.
Practising GB-based RPS members (excluding students, retirees, and international members) can avail a free MEP48 print copy by filling out a short 4-question form.
Ineligible individuals for the free print copy, can access the new edition via Pharmaceutical Press website.
RPS members can get 30 per cent off before the 25 July official launch, after which the price will be £52.50 for members and £70 for non-members.
