Popular health and beauty retailer, Superdrug is introducing a new face-to-face weight loss service across its 160 branches in the UK.
According to WalesOnline, the new service, which includes clinical screening and personalised support, is being rolled out after the launch of nurse-led clinic services in 2024.
The new face-to-face consultation with pharmacists helps people use weight loss drugs such as Wegovy and Mounjaro after the careful assessment of their height, weight and BMI, for better outcomes.
Superdrug branches will conduct strict assessment processes to identify eligible patients for the service.
Anyone who qualifies for the assessment can approach the stores without an appointment.
“As demand for clinically supported weight management continues to grow, giving patients additional options for face-to-face consultations plays an increasingly important role in providing a safe, accessible and professional service,” said Superdrug Pharmacy director, Craig Watt told the publication.
