Key Summary

  • Vulcan Two Group plans to buy three online pharmacy businesses for £41.7m.
  • The acquisitions aim to create a large UK digital pharmacy network serving patients and businesses.
  • A 22,000 sq ft Leeds centre will help speed up medicine delivery and cut logistics costs.

Vulcan Two Group, an alternative investment market (AIM) listed cash shell, has agreed to acquire three companies in the online pharmacy sector for £41.7 million.

The three companies are CloudRx Holdings, currently owned by Daniel Lee, Cheshire-based Webmed Pharmacy and Barnard Castle-based Hyperdrug Pharmaceuticals.

Led by Michael Kraftman, chief executive and Brendan O’Brien, COO, Vulcan Two aims to create one of the UK’s leading regulated e-pharmacy platforms.

Leeds-based CloudRX is a digital prescription platform and fully regulated pharmacy that dispenses and distributes prescription medicines via a B2B2C platform.

Vulcan Two will pay a maximum consideration of approximately £36 million for the business.

Daniel Lee will step down from his executive role after acquisition, but will stay for a post-transition period.

Wedmed is a vertically integrated B2C digital pharmacy and caters to the need for discrete treatment and testing for sensitive conditions. The consideration payable for the business is around £2.1 million.

Hyperdrug is a D2C digital pharmacy and online pet store that dispenses and distributes both human and veterinary medications, as well as providing an array of animal products and accessories. Vulcan Two Group will pay approximately £3.6 million for the company.

Vulcan Two Group was admitted to trading on AIM in September 2025, with a mandate to acquire businesses in the e-pharmacy space.

The group has now entered into a long-term lease agreement for a new 22,000 sq ft distribution centre in Leeds.

This facility is expected to enable the group to reduce warehousing and logistical costs, rationalise and simplify processes, and enhance service and delivery times.
