Kolanticon gel to remain out of stock until January

The Department of Health and Social Care (DH) has issued a Medicine Supply Notification (MSN) for Kolanticon gel of 2.5mg dicycloverine hydrochloride, 200mg aluminium hydroxide, 100mg light magnesium oxide, and 20mg simethicone per 5ml.

Kolanticon gel will remain out of stock until January 2022.

Alternative preparations for symptomatic relief of gastro-intestinal disorders characterised by hyperacidity, smooth muscle spasm, including irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and flatulence, will remain available, the DH said in an update to community pharmacy.
