Boots has said that more than 750 of its outlets will remain open during the Christmas period to ensure necessary health support for the public.
The pharmacies will function on holidays such as Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
Selected Boots pharmacies will be open on one or more of the festive bank holidays.

During the festive period, Boots will provide services such as PrescriptionsPlus, NHS Pharmacy First service, provision of over-the-counter (OTC) drugs, health advices, Boots Online Doctor, etc. will be available during these days.
PrescriptionsPlus helps patients with repeat prescriptions during the busy days, whereas Pharmacy First allows advice and prescription treatment for common illnesses such as sore throats, insect bites, earache in children, impetigo and urinary tract infections (UTIs) in women.
Nearly 700 healthcare brands that helps with seasonal illnesses are available in store and online, while their Boots Online Doctor service gives valuable healthcare advice without the need for a GP appointment for various health concerns.
Boots customers can also get healthcare products delivered home through their on-demand home delivery services.
However, their trading hours will be limited based on factors like store location.
Patients registered with a GP in England can avail free delivery of medications via Royal Mail.
However, prescription charges may apply.
