Key Summary
- Boots now delivers thousands of gifts in as little as 30 minutes for Christmas panic buyers
- Most gifts are very affordable, perfect for Secret Santa and stocking fillers
- On-demand delivery supports busy shoppers right up to Christmas Eve
Boots has introduced “Santa-style” rapid delivery on nearly 10,000 products to help last-minute shoppers during the ongoing Christmas season.
As per their claims, the deliverable products include over 1,600 gifts including No7 Ultimate Collection, Kayali Perfumes and Gucci Bamboo fragrance, and they will be delivered within 30 minutes.
Majority of these gifts cost £10 and under making them apt choices for Secret Santa or stocking fillers.
Their research, which studied 2,000 UK customers, found that 56 per cent leave Christmas shopping for Christmas Eve, making it a tedious task.
So, this year Boots has partnered Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat to help their customers gift better.
Currently, almost 500 stores across the UK provides the on-demand delivery service, while customers in certain regions can even place their orders until midnight on Christmas Eve and still enjoy timely delivery.
This offer comes as a relief for customers who are working professionals (31 per cent) and struggle to find free time to shop.
Interestingly, the Boots research also found that 33 per cent of their customers shop while travelling or at work, 49 per cent shop from bed, and 10 per cent of their male customers purchase their Christmas gifts from the pub.
“We all know Christmas is a busy time, so we want to make it even easier for our customers who find themselves shopping right up to the last moment,” commented Paula Bobbett, chief data and digital officer at Boots.
“At Boots, we’re here to make shopping feel joyful, not stressful, helping shoppers find thoughtful gifts quickly and easily, even if they’ve missed online order cut-offs or store opening hours,” she added.
