The Pharmacists' Defence Association (PDA) has extended its support to an international campaign to raise the profile of pharmacists fighting against the spread of Covid-19.
The campaign invites pharmacists to take a photo of themselves making the letter “P” with their hands to symbolise pharmacists on the coronavirus frontline. Pharmacists should then tag the picture #pharmacyheroes and share it on social media.
The idea behind the campaign is to raise the profile of the pharmacy profession by showing a worldwide community of pharmacists who have faced the fight against COVID-19 all over the world, while significantly relieving the healthcare systems in their respective countries.
The campaign is organised by FIP – the International Pharmaceutical Federation, which represents over four million pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists world-wide.
