Britain has secured sufficient Covid-19 vaccine supplies to meet its targets of giving a shot to all over 50s and vulnerable people by the middle of next month and all adults by the end of July, housing secretary Robert Jenrick said on Friday (March 26).
“We do have enough supply in sight to continue to meet our obligations,” he told Sky News, adding: "That means if you have an appointment for your second jab, you should not be worried, that will be honoured, you will get that jab on the date you're provided."
The minister added that UK's world class infrastructure would enable the country "to vaccinate even more people than we have done in recent weeks - millions more people."
More than half the adult population have already been vaccinated against Covid-19 with almost 29 million people having received their first dose of the vaccine.
