In order to reduce stigma and discrimination around mental health and help find solutions to deal with it, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) will soon conduct a workshop on ‘Mental Health Inclusion in Pharmacy’ which will be held on May 19.
With the webinar, the Society aims at developing a culture of acceptance and openness through the workshop so that ‘everyone within the pharmacy team feels supported and is equipped to support patients.’
For the online workshop, the RPS has collaborated with See Me Scotland, Time to Change Wales and Change Your Mind. It will be also delivering two practical workshops focused on de-stigmatising mental health in the coming two weeks.
At the workshop, the society also will be exploring, ‘actions needed to support employees in their workplace so that they can ask for help when they first struggle with their mental health, and be supported.’
The discussion further will also include– impact on people with experience of mental health problems, finding out the conditions that need to be put in place for mental health inclusive workplaces and also contributions towards stigma free culture in the workplace and so on and so forth.
The webinar meant for the ‘members of the RPS’ only, will start at 7 pm and end at 8.30 pm on May 19.
