The NHS England is evaluating childhood flu vaccination advanced service, which was commissioned to give flu vaccinations for children aged two and three years via community pharmacies during the 2025/26 campaign on a trial basis.


Community pharmacies have been invited to provide feedback and experiences in order to make informed decisions for future services.

Community pharmacy teams are expected to submit their feedback via the online questionnaire before 17 April.

In a related event, the House of Lords Childhood Vaccinations Committee will on Monday (13) question two panels of witnesses - the first consisting of community advocates and second of healthcare professionals to give evidence on childhood vaccinations.

The first panel consists of Emma Bray, health promotion worker, Friends, Families and Travellers and Huda Hajinur, director, Caafi Health.

The second panel will have Dr Sakaria Ali, consultant paediatrician, University College London Hospital, and Riyadul (Riyad) Karim, assistant director, Community Engagement and Health Equity, COVID-19 and Influenza Vaccination Programmes, London Region, NHS England.
