Benson Pharmacy, located on Harrow Road in London, was recently sold for an undisclosed sum to Chirag Shah, who owns ProCare Pharmacy, a group of pharmacies in North West London, according to Christie & Co.

The pharmacy dispenses an average of 11,000 items per month and is located close to Royal Oak and Paddington tube stations.

The pharmacy has been owned by Vijay Patel for over 40 years and was brought to market to allow him to retire.

According to Tom Laybourn, senior business agent – Pharmacy at Christie & Co, Benson Pharmacy had generated good buyer interest, ranging from established operators to ambitious first‑time purchasers.

"The strength of demand and the competitive offers we received clearly show that buyers are actively pursuing profitable, well‑run pharmacies, with this momentum continuing to drive market success across the South East of England," he stated.
