Pharmacist Support has announced the return of its pharmacist ACTNow wellbeing campaign, running this year from Monday 20th October to Friday 7th November 2025.
Now in its sixth year, the campaign continues to encourage those across the profession to Allow time for wellbeing, Consider the needs of others, and Take action to support themselves and their colleagues.
This year’s campaign will focus on three urgent themes identified through the latest Workforce Wellbeing Survey, conducted with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) - Connection, Personal Budgeting & Financial Support, and Navigating Change and Growth.
The survey results showed that 87 per cent of pharmacists remain at high risk of burnout, 70 per cent reported experiencing loneliness or isolation in the past six months, with those in Community Pharmacy (42 per cent) and General Practice (40 per cent) more likely to feel this way than those in Hospital Pharmacy (32 per cent).
Key pressures impacting wellbeing included work-life balance challenges (49 per cent), financial pressures (47 per cent), lack of support from colleagues or senior staff (47 per cent), and long working hours (34 per cent).
Alarmingly, 41 per cent of community pharmacists said their mental health was rarely or never prioritised in the workplace.
The campaign will deliver a series of digital resources, interactive activities, podcasts and social media content to help individuals and employers address these challenges in a practical and supportive way.
“The wellbeing challenges facing the profession remain significant, and this year’s ACTNow themes aim to address the issues pharmacists themselves have identified as impacting their wellbeing," said Danielle Hunt, Chief Executive of Pharmacist Support.
“Workplace culture has a huge impact on wellbeing. The ACTNow campaign provides employers with resources and tools that can be used to help create environments where people feel valued and supported. This includes practical tools that teams can use together and resources that can open up conversations and strengthen workplace connections.”
