GSK, manufacturer of Voltarol, the market leading pain relief gel range in pharmacy, has re-designed the cap for its Voltarol 12 Hour Joint Pain Relief 100g Gel (2.32%). Created to help pharmacy teams support their patients in the management of hand and joint pain more effectively, the development addresses the rising trend of persistent pain and offers flip-top access to long lasting pain relief.

Voltarol 12 Hour gel provides clinically proven pain relief to patients with joint pain, delivering up to 12 hours of pain relief. The special formulation of this gel includes a permeation enhancer, which helps deliver up to 3 times more diclofenac through the skin compared to Voltarol 1% gels.

The new ‘flip-top’ packs, replacing the existing packs in the pharmacy channel from July, have a ‘one click’ design, meaning that opening with one hand or against a surface is easy. This eliminates the need for gripping or twisting, making it ideal for those whose pain affects their dexterity. As such, joint pain sufferers can access all-day relief, to help restore the joy of pain-free movement.

GSK is helping pharmacy teams fully understand joint pain and how they can help their patients treat it. For more information, please visit: www.jointpainpartners.gsk.com.
