The Superdrug store in Monmouth has reopened after it was closed due to flooding of storm Claudia last year in November.
The official reopening of the store at Monnow Street was done by deputy mayor Cllr Rob Barrell, reported the Monmouthshire Beacon.
The beauty and health retailer now offers various services along with a full GP consultation room, winning the appreciation of the residents.
The store had been shut since 16 November, 2025 as the floodwaters had damaged the interior and stock.
The daily has reported the many shops in Monmouth, including the Superdrug store, have been working hard to reopen their doors after the flooding.
“Everybody in Monmouth appreciates the fact that people are working hard to get the shops reopened and get the customers back in to the town,” Barrell told the daily.
The temporary cabin that was set up in January for issuing prescriptions has been removed as all the services are now available at the store.
