Sigma Pharmaceuticals will be distributing test kits to community pharmacies as part the NHS Covid-19 lateral flow device (LDF) distribution service.

According to the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee, NHS Test and Trace has confirmed that Sigma has agreed to provide LFD test kits as part of ‘Pharmacy Collect’ – the latest way for people to collect rapid Covid-19 tests to do at home.

Sigma is scheduled to receive its first batch of test kits today and will be ready to begin deliveries from Thursday, May 13.

This means that contractors can now order test kits from either Sigma or Alliance Healthcare, said PSNC, adding that Phoenix is supplying the kits only to branches of Rowlands Pharmacy.
