Community Pharmacy England has initiated a sector-wise poll to get feedback about the outcome of recent Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF) negotiations.

The poll is open for independents and non-CCA multiples and it will close at 11.59pm on 12 July. As for CCA multiples, the CPE will contact their head offices separately.

The CPE wants the respondents to air their views on the recent settlement, the unfulfilled challenges, and how it affects their business outlook.

It also wants to know their views on the introduction of prescribing into community pharmacy.

Alongside the poll, the CPE is also holding a series of in-person events through June and July to offer opportunities to learn more about the implications of the new funding settlement.

The CPE has called upon independent pharmacists to take wholeheartedly in the poll. "Your answers will help us understand the impact of the settlement and highlight ongoing challenges to politicians and the media."

This year’s settlement includes a 10.3 percent (£340m) funding increase, regulatory progress, and plans to introduce Independent Prescribing into Pharmacy First and the Contraception Service.

However, Community Pharmacy England had warned that the sector continues to be in crisis and only agreed to this settlement alongside a joint reform programme with the government and NHS England.
